Suggestions / Improvements to your plugin. #827

Hello DLM,

So here are some suggestions I think you should implement to your plugin in the future:

Show a users downloads left. Lets say you have set a limit of 10 downloads per month, then you should be able to spit this out on the frontend, so that the users can see his/hers downloads left for the month (and with that you can encourage them to upgrade their membership/ subscription plan)
Download Icons. So at the moment you have download buttons. But in a lot of cases you want an icon instead. Most websites actually use Icons for sites where you have a list of downloadable items in a grid. Would be nice to even be able to use an elementor widget or something like that.
Credits based download limits. A user can purchase lets say 100 credits and use 1 credit or more for every download, thereby setting a limit by the individual "price" of the download itself.

Needs more details - could you elaborate a little on your use case here? How is a credit different from a "download quota" (100 credits vs an allocated number of 100 downloads / per week, month, etc) ?

Sounds good! Do you have an estimated date for these 2 releases? Can't wait 😂

Well you're right, it doesn't make that much sense, but i've seen some websites where you purchase like 100 credits a month, and you can spend these however you like. So maybe a download of one product is 3 credits and another is 10 credits etc.

But if you just make the 2 questions first possible soon, then i'll be more than happy 😃

@jagge72 - can't say specifically when they'll launch but just know we're actively working on them as well as other huge improvements to the plugin that we'll be launching soon.

Upload it as a plugin -> Activate -> Posts/Pages -> Add new -> look for "Downloads Button" as a Gutengerg block
