2 questions, first why when you fill out a pothole report in hats if you enter gps coordinates do you need to also fill out the mile post begin and end? Second why are the right of way boundarys not on the map? #697

Hi Mark,

In answer to your first question, we require the begin and end milepost because of the cases where there may be multiple potholes or other reasons for repair (i.e. Cracking, Rutting, etc.) over a stretch of roadway. That way, the user would not have to fill out a new 1112-Hand Patch record for every different reason for repair.

In answer to your second question, we do not have a Right-of-Way map layer, so you will not see it in HATS. This is because WSDOT does not have any data pertaining to Right-of-Way.
