Twitter feed placement in app #275

Open englehorn opened 2 years ago

There is a lot of useful real-time traffic information in the WSDOT Twitter feeds. We should consider moving the Twitter feed to a section of the app where users can easily access it.

Suggestions:

Twitter feeds have been removed from the app (iOS v5.32.0).

We need answers to the questions above to move forward with recommendations on this issue.

Problem statement: We share a lot of data on Twitter/X, and that data is now held behind a privately owned login system. We want all our data to be available to our constituents without needing to login to a privately owned third party system. Ideally, we would be able to use the Twitter API to present our data within our app. If this is not possible, we will need to discuss more creative solutions with IT, similar to the solution they've created to send data to both GovDelivery and Twilio.
