We are using the 7.x-2.6 version of the Google Analytics module.

Currently, support for Google's Global Site Tag (gtag.js) is only supported in the 8.x-3.x branch.

There is an open issue and patch to add support to the 7.x-2.6 branch, however, it's currently under review.

Depending on how long it takes to get an official module update, we may need to disable it and manually add the gtag.js script to the template itself.

The gtag.js tag update would need to be coordinated across a number of different sites (.NET, static HTML, Drupal, Cold Fusion, etc.) Will likely wait until the new Drupal 8 and traveler center sites are ready to go live.
