Is this regulatory data? It's missing Labels.

Has this been added to the mapping status document? link

amabdallah commented 11 months ago

I added a label but let's put this one hold until I hear back from my point of contact if they approve us sharing their data. I'll add it to the Mapping Status doc once they approve, probably in a few weeks.

If the Great Lakes Commission approves sharing their data through WaDE, we need to download their CSV data for each of their 10 years, one at a time, then "stitch them together." They dont have a way to mass download the data for all the years together. https://waterusedata.glc.org/query.php

@rwjam much of this text came from your evaluation at some point.

WSWC would need the Great Lakes Commission’s assistance in acquiring machine-readable data for the years available. Data can include: (a) geospatial Geographic Information System (GIS) shapefile for the jurisdiction’s basins; b) comma-separated values (CSV) of the historical water use data; (c) identifiers on how the GIS information can be linked/associated with the historical water use CSV data; and (d) and related metadata that offers insight in how the data was created/maintained / glossary of terms, etc. After successfully mapping the water data into the WaDE System, WSWC staff would ask the Great Lakes Commission staff to review the data mapping processes, documentation, and visualization before its public release. WSWC would also commit to updating the Commission’s data within WaDE whenever the Commission releases any new data or major revisions. WSWC would also include any disclaimers the Commission suggests or requires along with the data.

should have gotten a new file to work with 07/01/2024. Start with that.
