Might be worth perusing in future WaDE API updates? Quoting API Umbrella documentation, "API Umbrella is a proxy that sits in front of your APIs. It can seamlessly add common functionality like api keys, rate limiting, and analytics to any API." Sounds like it's an alternative way / standardization on creating api elements and tools. We'll have to ask DPL on their thoughts towards this, I think alot of this is covered already by the Azure services.
