Proxy support would be a great addition to the app.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback.

I understand your request, but i'm not sure it's even possible. In fact, this
may be more an Android settings than an application settings. There is an issue
openned for this (http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=1273). In
the comments, a user suggest an app that may bring you the a proxy settings
dialog
(http://www.appbrain.com/app/http-proxy-settings/org.credil.proxysettings).

The thing is, i got myself a proxy setup through ziproxy + Squid on a dedicated
server of mine. Make it little Opera'mini like for myself/little bandwidth
usage. It seems that Android blocked it through SDK. Oddly though, through NDK
you can sort of make yourself proxy support as FIrefox for Mobile did.

Proxy support will enable to build a connection through the Tor network.
This is a very useful feature!

On Android 2.2.3 you can set a system wide proxy in settings/wireless+network
settings/mobile networks/Access Point Names: it shows a list of APNs that you
can select, however if you long-press one of them you get to "Edit access
point" where you can set a proxy. Not exactly intuitive to find.
