How to install encoder #25

as I install encoder on the same server because my server is good the enconder goes to https://encoder.youphptube.com/ is with a public encoder I want to install and customize my !!!

I have the same question-- it is not clear on what the "encoder URL" should be or what I should do to use my own server encoder. Did we get the right application with the download and install or do we need something else?

Hi @engedge

If you do not have your private encoder application installed, you leave just like it is (public encoder). If you install your encoder (recommended). you need to change the URL to your encoder URL

I think I got it figured out...

Go to link provided on screen as shown above (https://github.com/DanielnetoDotCom/YouPHPTube-Encoder).. Download and install "encoder" on server in logical directory location. Change "encoder URL" to the encoder installed location..

I think this is what we're looking for?

I know this is a old question, but I am in the same situation. I am not sure how to proceed with installing the encoder. I have purchased a web space from a web-hosting company. So, I downloaded the encoder and where do I upload this encoder into or what folder. engedge said logical directory, but what is that. Thanks in advance. I was going to post a new topic on this, but since this is already been asked, I thought of just asking my question here. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Just remember encoder can not be installed on a shared host. Also we recommend Ubuntu server .
