Home page loads heavy what can be done to speed it up? #5212

I am trying to slim it down so it loads fast and trying to pinpoint what is causing this on the homepage.

I disabled categories and turned off the cache per person and only have cache for logged user turned on. all other pages load fast it is just the home page.

Hi, first step please use the cache on the default values.

if you can delete the plugin code and let it as the default.

not sure what u mean I just added all the new settings and put the cache on the ssd drive this morning.

those settings is slower than the ssd that i had it set on i made a folder for it on the ssd here /mnt/md0/jtvcache

that is a bug Encoder network is fine and fully up to date No clue where it is pulling mysite.com

I did earlier and I didn't see any speed change but when I did that I went ahead and did a git pull. My encoder network is in the YouPHPTube/Uploader/ folder

https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ and the results are not good.

I've gotten a result of "34/100" on home and "24/100" on a video page, which is very bad.

It is clear that YouTube is faster, but none of us think we can spend $ 10,000 a month to have much faster servers. My target is $ 20 per month and I would like to stay that way because I don't have so many videos nor are they of particular interest to 99% of people.

I have activated the Cache, with the default values ​​and it has not changed at all ... well ... 36 instead of 34, but it is imperceptible.

I propose to change rendering strategy within the "cache" plugin so that it greatly increases the rendering speed by serving modified static copies in html with async javascript.

Jquery and other javascipt can be loaded last, after rendering the page.

Increase LazyLoad action of images on pages

Reduce the CSS to the minimum possible (bootstrap is very fat) by taking a light version only of the whole set that is actually used and serve only this css, instead of the whole set

All this means that perhaps the new videos will not be loaded quickly on the home page ... but a cache refresh could be forced when there is a new video just loaded from the Encoder ... that is, when the Streamer receives a new video from the Encoder, automatically refresh the cache, to reflect the changes

I hope this serves as inspiration for the modifications in AVideo.

we need page pre-load, like wordpress plugin. Preloading the pages before they're clicked. We have ytp-socket, could be useful for this.
