Email all users bug? #7676

Hi when i use the email all users it only sends to 1000. I have 5000+ users which means the really old members get the email and the rest do not. The email would reach probably inactive users and not the active users im trying to reach. I assume it sends to the first 1000 users in the database? For me this means I cannot reach out to all members and cannot send a second email because they will see that as anoying spam, as i do not know who got an email and who didnt from the user list. I am using the latest update. I get a popup after i send saying sent to 1000 users. Is this an old bug back again? Thanks.

Hi, yes i have read that and it appears that bug is back. As it is now back to sending 1000 emails rather than 10K

Can you please check your logs for any clues?

maybe it is a limit in your SMTP provider

Hi, Nothing appeared in the logs after i sent the email. No restrictions on smtp or php as i have a newsletter program running on same server that sends 5000+ no probs.

The problem with this bug is i cannot send another email as users will not be happy with me spamming their inbox and will probs block me or put me in spam afecting email delivery. So i guess i have to extract all emails and use another program to send which is a holy pain in the ass as the user list would keep changing anyway.

I mean when you try to send the email do you see the emails count on the logs?

in the JSON response when you send the email should be the total emails sent

Anyway, I just sent an update so you will be able to see it in your log when you send emails to your subscribers.

Hi dan, yeah i get a popup saying sent to 1000 users even though i have tones more. I asked a few recent members if they recieved email and they said no. Im the first user and i get my email so im asuming its sending to the first 1000 in the user list. Those sent emails are successful though im sure of that. I guess i will have to find some excuse to email my users again and report back. Hopefully with fingers crossed it will work and they will all go through. If it sends to a 1000 again i would not be able to email my users again as those 1000 who get emails are getting spammed while the others are unaware of whats going on. Thanks as always for what you do mate.

It is still not working mate. I have aprox 9000 users but only can sent to 1000. My mail list program is 3021 and i can send email to them no problem and its the same mail server. This is a massive headache cos how can i test this now? I will get hell from my members for spamming the 1000 users that are getting the email and i cannot reach the ones i intend to reach. So some are getting spammed and others dont know whats going on and im getting emails from those users that im trying to reach. It is the exact same bug that was reported that you sent me the link too in this thread. Those users probably havnt emailed there users back since it was fixed so they probably are unaware the bug has returned. Thats my theory anyway. Thanks.

Hi, Unfortunately I cannot email my users again now. I had to extract all emails and send through my email program.
