Video Player no longer shows any video controls

After latest pull, play any video or mp3, same behavior...no controls for player. Video/MP3 starts playing and even though CC is defaulted to Off, Closed Captions display and there are no player controls available. Cleared avideo.log, started video and only thing in the log was below (there were no errors in apache2 log):

there are updates for a bunch of plugins, I am still missing the resolution switcher update, I will send it shortly

You are welcome. please update your AVideo and also most of the plugins that are related to the video player.

the reason why they need to be updated is because we are now using VideoJS version 8

CC has totally changed and is customizable. More in line with the likes of YouTube.
