[Sort Videos] randomly scrambles the videos every time I go to make any changes to it #8527

Describe the bug Second time reporting. PROBLEM: I use Sort Videos to control the order of videos on my home page. Today, I added one video. I dragged it to the position I wanted it, and I removed the video that was there. Now, all of my home page has been completely scrambled, and I have to go manually try to put it in the order it was in. From memory. Because the site destroyed my valuable data.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to [Sort Videos]
  2. Add 36 videos
  3. CAREFULLY set ALL the videos in the order you want
  4. Save
  5. Close
  6. Clear cache dance
  7. Observe home page should be in the order you set
  8. Go to [Sort Videos]
  9. Add 1 video
  10. CAREFULLY drag the one video exactly where you want it
  11. Remove the video that was in that position
  12. Save
  13. Clear cache dance
  14. Observe the videos have been scrambled, like eggs in a blender

Expected behavior The carefully designed order, with video in the #1 position, etc… to be preserved

This happens 100% of the time.

Update: I went to edit my 36 videos today, and they were not only scrambled and in the wrong order, there were 49 of them - all of the ones I deleted the previous session came back.

Is this interfered with by the cache? Is there some special way of using it, like, clear cache, add a file, go back and clear the cache, come back and add another file?

I can't figure out how to make this work. It takes me ≈30 minutes to set up my home page, every single time - it seems impossible to just make an edit and have it work.

HELP!

I can see there is some inconsistency. I am trying to find out what is causing that

I am still not sure, but I just injected some log codes to try to detect what is changing the order
