invoking PMZ's setupldr w/ latest ARC fw version somehow causes the boot loader to immediately exit during init, producing an unusable system state that persists in subsequent runs. building my own ISO via cdimage/oscdimg didn't help, neither did directly modifying the PMZ ISO image via PowerISO do any justice.
