Crashes while loading primitives

Everytime i open the game on my psp it says loading primitives then my psp crashes ive tried the fixed that was on wololo about deleting the mp3 files but it still does the same thing

Hi,

The latest version of game is too heavy in terms of RAM and CPU for PSP or PSP emulator, you can have some hope using Adrenaline on PSVita but you should remove some primitives to allow the RAM to load the cards database.

Hi,

Just to make a try, you can download again the PSP version from official release link and try to put this file into your User folder:

https://github.com/WagicProject/wagic/releases/latest/download/LimitedCardList.txt

Then remove the file collection.dat from your User/player folder and restart game without using any custom theme.

It will limit the number of primitives that will be loaded at the startup (you can of course add/remove cards from this list later if it will work).

Not sure it will work on PSP-3000, but on PSVita it helped a lot to save RAM and i could be able to run again the game with Adrenaline.

I guess i made some progress for PSP, I could be able to run last version of Wagic on PPSPP Emulator. Since i don't have a PSP, can you follow these steps on your real PSP to see if it works on there too?

1) Download the latest version of Wagic for PSP from official link. 2) Delete (or reduce a lot) the file "collection.dat" from your "User/player" folder. 3) Download the file "LimitedCardList.txt" (https://github.com/WagicProject/wagic/releases/latest/download/LimitedCardList.txt) and copy it into your "User" folder. 4) Rename or remove the "graphics" sub-folder in your Res folder (of course you should firstly unzip the core file). 5) Download the file "graphicsPSP.zip" (https://mega.nz/file/6DYmTZ7Z#UiFcMs4rm3PM4OH3w1cjQmS8-P7XGJ8EUrg0Ta9A4OY) and extract it into your "Res" folder. 6) Use the default theme with no audio. 7) Start the game.

Hi, @Vitty85 sir I did follow all your instructions above, but still failed to manage to run this game in ppsspp. Any tips? Thanks :) I always stuck on this.

Hi,

Are you sure you follow all the procedure and put the files in the right place? Even if you jumped just one step the game cannot run, especially about graphics folder.

Also, in your emulator you should set the highest profile settings for cpu, gpu and ram.

I tried on my windows 10 and i could be able to run the game with latest PPSSPP release, but also who knows if your settings and hardware conf are similar to mine or not...

What do you mean by highest settings for cpu, gpu and ram? Can you share your ppsspp.ini file to see what your settings :)

Im on android maybe that the cause of issue?

Ah, on android i never tried, sorry, i guess the emulation won't be enough strong as like PC version. My procedure has been tested on Adrenaline (PSVita) and on Windows (PPSSPP).

Anyway, on Android can't you use directly the APK?

Originally the selection is this:

1) internal storage 2) SD card (if available)

If you can, try to select second option (SD is always better) , also, when you install app you have to give the file read/write permit of course! If not the app cannot write and read any file... (i already saw this issue with another user and he solved by manually giving those permit to the app).

Hi,

I guess it’s almost impossible to play with ppsspp on Android, the emulation level hardware is so poor…

On Android the only way is to use the specific apk (also with apk you can use theme, more cards and all graphics elements too).

another thing, if you would like the apk automatically download the core zip file of course the phone has to be connected to internet, or you have to download manually the zip file and put onto Res folder (the path you chose from the first menu selection).

in any case app has to have the file read and write permissions of course.

I finally manage to run this game I just downloaded the limitedcardlist on the latest release and its works :)

So select card and see details… you can always see all the details of card by selecting it. Of course you have to keep the detail popup opened (i guess with Y button).

But again, on Android play with Apk, it’s better.
