@katomaso Seriously impressive changes. I haven't been involved lately. Wondering why this PR was closed. It is what this project has really needs! Just not had the time or direct experience to refactor like this.

I am happy to answer some questions where I can and maybe sometime soon, if I get some time over a weekend I could have a go at installing using these roles you have been working on.

Hi, I am preparing this MR in a separate repository and I accidentally created a PR for this repo. It should have been a merge of devel branch to "my" main branch, not here.

Thanks for the interest. I just returned from my vacation and will put a bit more time into it so the roles are actually installable and I can verify that everything works. But till then, I will not create other MRs.
