Check the Updates.VB file in the LWAR repo it explains it all (by explain I mean it doesn't but for us programmers we understand it) so ya, it explains it all.

Basically like copyrighted or some shit like that. Basically it goes under developed at DeavmiOSS rather than by Walkman. Dude full Richard Stallman and GNU. It's just awesome.
