Just saw the mod on steam, really excited to see someone working on a proper EOD/IED mod. We haven't had anything decent since the old EOD mod which is long since broken.

One thing that mod had that I've missed dearly are "dickers" or "triggermen". So the IED would be placed and a civ unit spawned within visual range, either in a house or up on a hill nearby and they would have a cellphone in their inventory (could use the ACE cellphone detonator) If you killed the triggerman or detained him and took the cellphone from his inventory, then the IED would be rendered inert (unless you dialed the correct code on the phone)

Along with that were the jammer backpacks which when activated would stop the cellphone transmission getting through to the device, however it would also jam TFAR/ACRE radio comms as well.

I've really missed a decent IED/EOD focused mod as I really want to be able to make EOD focused campaigns for my unit. I have a ton of ideas/wishes, but won't flood you with them. Keep up the great work, look forward to seeing what becomes of the mod.

Currently we are focusing on more crude and simple IEDs and the overall structure of the mod. Phones and AI trigger men are planned for the future, as they are indeed an integral part of the middle east experience.
