Problems entering some readings with small kana

First noticed this when typing "nyuu"／「にゅう」, but it happens with other readings involving small kana as well. I have not yet noticed this problem on readings that do not include small kana.

The problem, as described in the forum thread on WK, is that typing "nyuu" results in 「ゅう」 instead of 「にゅう」 on certain devices (I seem to be the only one so far). Other readings are also affected, such as "jyuu"／「じゅう」 (becomes 「ゅう」) and "ryoku"／「りょく」 (becomes 「ょく」).

Below are the requested screenshots of the "Log" dialog functionality provided in the test APK. For some reason I got SwiftKey instead of the custom IME even though I made sure to pick the built-in one. Hmm.

Update re logging: I chose Embedded kbd instead of Custom IME and was able to type 「にゅう」 without issue. The Log option appeared nonfunctional, though.
