Gilneas Flavour Suggestions (Northgate Rebellion + Worgen)

In the Warcraft universe Gilneas isolated itself from the rest of Lordaeron by erecting the Greymane Wall. During the scourging of Lordaeron, the Kingdom of Gilneas turned to Archmage Arugal to summon the worgen from the Emerald Dream in an attempt to bolster the Gilnean war effort against the Scourge due to a shortage of soldiers. Consequently from this, Darius Crowley led an attempted rebellion against King Greymane which was ultimately unsuccessful. Adding the following mechanics would flesh out the Kingdom of Gilneas and provide additional flavour for the area. I have attempted to make them fit within the current limitations of using 1.5.# but also without relying on the addition of classes and magic lifestyle mechanics.

• Add Archmage Arugal as a mage at Dalaran.

• Add Worgen racial trait with the following description: "Race Class: Mammal This character is a Worgen. The Worgen are large, wolverine-like humanoids who were first created during the War of the Satyr. The Druids of the Pack sought to control the uncontrollable rage in their chosen animal forms and submitted to the energies of the Scythe of Elune, transforming them into bestial humanoids. Blinded by rage, the worgen were unable to distinguish friend from foe and were banished to the Emerald Dream. It was discovered their bite can turn other creatures into worgen, known as the worgen curse."

• Unique mechanic: Turn prisoner into Worgen > Turns racial trait to worgen if human or night elf

• (Alternatively, not sure if this can be coded but if a character is wounded in combat by a worgen maybe have a % of the worgen curse spreading to that character if they are a human or night elf)

• Add decision: "Build the Greymane Wall"

• Decision text: "The independence and sovereignty of Gilneas shall not be threatened by external threats. The people of Gilneas need a symbol of Gilnean strength and self-reliance. To ensure our survival, we must build our defences."

• Mechanics: Adds special buildings to County of Pyrewood and County of Emberstone Cost: 300 Gold garrison_size = 0.2 fort_level = 4 defender_holding_advantage = 20

• Add decision: "Summon the Worgen"

• Decision text: "The Scourge is at our walls and the survival of the Kingdom of Gilneas is at stake. Desperate measures must be taken if we are to survive."

• Decision pre-requisites:
  A character with the 'Otherworldly' trait is either a courtier or a vassal of the Kingdom of Gilneas. (This can be adapted when magic lifestyles are added) "Build the Greymane Wall" Currently at war with the Scourge

• Mechanics: Army stacks are spawned in Barony of Pyrewood, Baroney of Crowley, Barony of Shadowfang and Barony of Bridgeview belonging to a Duchy Tier title called "Feral Worgen". Varangian adventure?? type CB on Ambermill Duchy or Crownvale Duchy or any other mechanic that can put them at hostile/war with both the Scourge and Gilneas.

• Feral Worgen lead by 'Alpha Prime'. Alpha Prime should have Kaldorei culture.

• After "Summon the Worgen" Every Count/Duke in Greymane recieves the following popup: "We have received word that (insert character here) (Maybe a decision to trigger a civil war?) intends to stand against our King. King Greymane first decreed to establish the Greymane Wall through the lands of Pyrewood and cut us off from the rest of the continent. Now, he has unleashed a bestial horde of monsters upon us. Shall we continue to stand with our King, or forge ourselves a new path?"

Two options:

• "For (insert name here)!"
