Adding specific province modifiers #1165

I've been experimenting with province modifiers (inspired by Gilnean wall) and how do they affect/enhance gameplay and lore railroading of the AI/player in the mod.

I split my PMs in Urban (with lore specific benefits and desc_fluff to each one), Strategic location PM (like Bulwark) and Lore heavy PMs.

Urban PMs are designed to reflect the historical infrastructure built over millennia of the original Arathorian city states like Stromguard, Lordearon, Stromwind, Dalaran etc. by providing more taxes, more levies/garrison troops, passive tech spread/gain (this buff is greater for arcane/heavily industrialized provinces like Gnomeregan, Ironforge, Dalaran and Karazhan), defender combat modifiers representing the battlements and fortifications which any attacking side must take if they want to take over the provinces. It is absolutely hilarious that such important locations as Stormwind provides the same generic bonuses as Sentinel hill. Basically every province with a special model for a city and capital cities of the great nations got buffed sky high to represent their significance.

Strategic location PMs, which admittedly would serve better if the mountain ranges of the earlier builds were reintroduced. They represent the choke points as previously mentioned Bulwark which served to cut off the spread of the plague to the Western Lordearon and hold the Scourge in the eastern part of the Kingdom as Scourge spread like wildfire going strong with each province harvested. To those wondering did this cripple the Scourge in my playtrough, don't worry it didn't. I just increased the unit size spawned from the plagued provinces by factor of 2.5x. With reintroduction of the impassable mountain ranges, approaches to Hearthglen and Tyr's Hand would be better represented and it would encourage the survival of these enclaves in midst of the Scourge lands.

Lore heavy PMs, represent provinces containing special locations, like Silver/Scarlet Monastery, Light's Hope chapel, Raven Hill cemetery, Uther's Tomb in later start dates, etc. They all bring their own modifiers, with ones in Lordearon primarily buffing disease resistances, combat modifiers and garrison size, with de-buffs for taxes to represent the tax exemption in pre-scourge world and complete economic collapse of the region in the post-scourge era. All of these buffs will still be way more smaller than what the big boys in Urban PMs are getting.

P.S..: I know this post was too Human specific, when or if this suggestion is added to the main mod homelands of lesser races will get their own buffs.

Hello, @Atridij! Well... A lot of holdings can reflect urban provinces. Terrain types can reflect strategic provinces. Wonders can Uther's tombs, Silver Monasteries, etc. So not sure I get it.

Hey, Zumbak.

Well this is a "quick and dirty" way of making the capitals feel unique and powerful without developing building chains and wonders for each one.

I can send you a sub mod version of this to try it out in your games and see does it fit with the general vision of the mod.
