We receive by UDP three distinct message types each distinguished in their first 12 bytes. These comprise a magic number, ABBCCBDA hex, a protocol version number, always 2, and a message type code. We came to understand these by reading a Java program that parsed the messages.

We have the basics. Now some interesting work begins.

[x] listen for udp datagrams from wsjt-x over lan
[x] parse the decode reports that carry over-the-air payloads
[x] save some number of payloads with metadata as summary strings
[x] serve saved summaries to the client for display
[x] configure for cloud deployment if possible given use of udp
[x] convert grid squares to map markers
[x] save more payloads that can be retrieved in summary and detail
[x] explore nature of recorded traffic with clicks client-side
