[BUG/ISSUE] Starcraft1gus (Regular/Portable Versions) 3.3.0 (Prerelease) Installer broken on Windows 10 x64 #53

Hi, new to Stargus, aka. Starcraft1gus by me. I'm sorry to interrupt something, the installers for any versions of Stargus are probably broken today to this year before another decade or so.

e.g Extraction failed! = INVALID MESSAGE WITH QUOTES

Stargus data was not extracted, is corrupted, or outdated. You need to extract it from Original CD or installation stardat.mpq or starcraft.mpq file. (extraction was attempted but it seems an error occurred)

Installer: stargus-portable-3.3.0.exe (Pre-Release Version)

OS: Windows 10 x64 bit

Tried/Tested (Failed to Load and Extract) Install.exe, from Starcraft (Original + Brood War) CDs (Compact Discs), ISO Files, etc. - failed StarCraft.mpq, from Battle.net App Files - failed StarDat.mpq, from Battle.net App Files - failed Starcraft 1.18 BattleNet App Installer - failed

Untried/Untested BroodWar.mpq = BroodWar Expansion Data 1/2 BrooDat.mpq = BroodWar Expansion Data 2/2 patch_ed.mpq patch_rt.mpq

mpqlist.txt

Please note that I suggest you or anyone who use Starcraft1gus (Stargus) to try and do some install and reinstall tests with their versions of their install other than my install are working correctly.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT (9/16/2022): added a zip filled with empty folders except the "sc/sc1" folders having its own preferences.lua file just in case if anyone who uses older versions of Stargus to view them either way.

I'll be waiting. Stargus_3.3.0_Hard_Reinstalls_EmptyFolders.zip

Marked as unsolved - Sorry for being impatient after reinstall tries. I will be adding screenshots to screensnips to images regarding my issues with the 3.3.0 pre-release version of my Star(craft1)gus install very soon in the morning in the eastern United States of A.

If any of you guys behind the master-builds have any files required for a working version of the 3.3.0 before a 3.31 or 3.3.2 to 3.3.3 version of Stargus exists, let me know via a response to any attachments involving it.

Therefore, please view the OP (the first and beginning) of the issue #53 before responses, thank you.

Please don't @-mention dozens of people, it will not get you help any faster. There's no release of 3.3, the last official one was of the 2.4 series. There's some work on Stargus, but this is a free software project and people only work as much as they feel like. It may start working at some point, sooner or later or never, depending on when people feel like working on it. Right now, no one has claimed it should work (hence no release).

Okay, i understand, thanks, i'll promise not to @-mention these (dozens of people) except you (@timfel) i suppose. Speaking of that, here some images including screenshots regarding the regular and portable installations of Stargus hopefully. STARGUS_3_3_0pr_extraction_error1_error2_merged

  1. Extraction Errors - from the master-build/pre-release versions. STARGUS_3_3_0pr_contents_AFTER_error_edit
  2. Copied files from the 2.4 series to the 3.3.0 (pre-release) version folders = That idea or solution would not work here sadly. :-(

Let me know via a reply-me-back after viewing the attachments regarding these rather.

This issue also occurs for me with Win11 and the 3.3.0 master version from 27.07.2022.
