Define a series of cases/projects #4

Closed ccamara closed 1 year ago

ccamara commented 2 years ago

Participants will be expected to work in groups and develop one use-case/project, based on their interests and level of expertise. Organisers will provide a list of possible cases to pick from.

This issue is to discuss the number of cases that we will be providing.

@cagatayTurkay these are the ones we discussed today:

I think one simple case would be to create a very basic report from either a Rmd notebook or jupyternotebook file, compare the outputs, and reflect on the process.

We could even provide very basic examples of rmd and jupyter notebook (i.e. loading a file, doing some data transformation and then visualising), so participants can simply copy them and adapt them. I do not know if you have some example for that (nothing really fancy needed) or if you think it would be worth preparing a very basic example in the two formats.

Using python and/or R

Just as an update: I created cases as issues with a specific tag: https://github.com/WarwickCIM/quarto-workshop/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3Acases

Closing this issue, as all the cases listed here have been already created as an issue. Furthermore, any future cases should be created as issues, using the template implemented in ac808574fea898b3c8af6a40b233293924a4228d
