Map loading crash? #4811

Similar to #4810 where this time it happens when loading a map. I think.

If you can get a semi-consistent repro case (or even if not), can you record a video of everything you do from program launch to crash?

Also, did you ever encounter this with prior builds? (Can you reproduce it with: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/Warzone2100/warzone2100/build/1.0.78/artifacts ? Am trying to rule out the recent compiler warning fixes.)

Additional question: Did you load and quit a bunch of games (with different maps) in a row? (Because that seems to cause a serious memory leak.)

Don't know about a video but the below method did work a few times. During my tests I had no alliances, high power, scavengers, advanced bases, and no structure limits. In one instance it crashed on the first game.

  1. Start warzone and begin a skirmish on the map Hydrofin (http://addons.wz2100.net/239).
  2. Wait ~3 seconds, press escape, and exit.
  3. Start a skirmish on the map Melting.
  4. Repeat step 2.
  5. Start Hydrofin and it might crash.

I am trying to get other maps to crash (unsuccessfully so far) and it seems to only happen when trying to play on the map Hydrofin after playing on a few other maps first. I noticed the radar map fails to display the water outside the "ring" that surrounds this map, also.

How fast this process is done is irrelevant as a few minutes passed from doing skirmishes on various other maps until I returned to this one.

Can reproduce the crash on my last commit which was before all of the warning fixes.

Hmm, have not been able to reproduce this anymore. So I guess 0792b3c4ac557552b71c273d5a3d19cb218d9eb6 and/or 97c924064d7cb3d7390b3c228f478b2d5898c34a helped with this.
