Alpha 1: I researched the Hardened MG Bullets, AP MGBs, and Flamer. Then I went into intelligence and looked at flamer. Then I viewed AP MGBs. When I clicked on Hardened MGBs, the game instantly crashed.

Unless you stripped all debug information from your binaries, this looks like a driver crashed. There's nothing we can do about this.
