It would be great if the AI players in single skirmish mode could detect that I set the number of air bases to ZERO and not waste resources building anti-aircraft systems.

Today my AI opponent build at least 50 anti-aircraft systems even though I had played the game with the number of air-fields set to zero. When you set the number of air-bases to zero, the players should also not build landing pads.

Limiting structures is cutting out gameplay features and possible strategies, disabling VTOL means only that you can not defend against it. Bots don't have such weaknesses so they defend themselves in every way possible.

I think the OP means that he has set the limit of VTOL factories to zero, which effectively prevents building any VTOLs. The structure limits do affect both human and AI players, don't they? In the case when no VTOLs can be possibly built by any enemy player, building AA defenses is a pointless waste of resources.

Wonder what bot that was.

As far as I can tell, it might have been SemperFi since it unconditionally builds AA sites based on how many factories it has.
