Two reports (one internal, one customer) indicate that logfile is growing unbounded over time.
Earlier ENLIGHTEN versions incorporated logic such that spectrometer connection was always done with DEBUG logging enabled (to catch the oft-important exchanges logged during that process), but then relaxed to the "requested" log level after the first few successful spectra.
I'm not sure when that functionality got dropped, but it's definitely not in the current codebase.
