"directsound audio output error" in Log #95

I've been having issues with not being able to play audio from any video. Sometimes it works but 95% of the time I'm getting zero audio and my Minecraft log being spammed with "[000001fa02dfdf00] directsound audio output error: cannot start playing buffer: (hr=0x88880001)."

Ive had a few instances where I got it to work by changing the source for my Minecraft audio but I can't recreate it now. I use an audio hub to route audio if that makes a difference.

i transfered your issue to watermedia (because issue is from watermedia) about your issue... aparently is the first time someone has a similar issue because there's no references about that error besides VLC or DirectX community

ensure your default audio device is the right one (not any internal mixer) and check if your sound driver is updated
