@lecy Is it acceptable to use the Pre-post design with a control group instead of a comparison group for my research study?

@lecy I also have equivalent groups before treatment so I am kind of a hybrid Equivalent groups pretreatment with a control group and a possible trend (I am still flushing that out), but I am assuming that a trend will be present. Can I use the Diff in Diff with those parameters?

I’m a little confused by your question because a pre-post design is reflexive, so there is no control or comparison group, only a treatment group.

I am definitely confused too regarding selecting the best research design. I have a control group and treatment group that is equivalent. I am doing a pre and post test on two of my dependent variables, but I also most likely have a secular trend to account for. I don't quite fit in to any of the designs perfectly. I was hoping to discuss it with you when you had time for office hours if that will be more efficient.
