Issue with Transforming Shapefile to Dorling #16

Hello,

@castower I'm having some trouble with transforming the shapefile for my city into the dorling. Everything before this works fine now. Attaching a screenshot of the code and the error I'm getting.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Are all of the packages from the Dorling Cartogram tutorial loaded/installed?

Also, are you able to see whether your shape file is loaded in your working environment?

Hi @castower

Yes, all of the necessary packages are loaded and I can see that my shapefile is loaded in my working environment, However, I am now seeing that it's showing 0 obs. of 178 variables, and I'm assuming this is the issue? Screenshot attached, thank you!

@BHammons1 It looks like your merge step didn't join properly. If you'd like to send me your .RMD and utilities file, I can take a look
