- [x] Add element button doesn't work - selecting type doesn't work

What does work
- updating yaml updates visualizer
- multiple stages
- no bugs/crashes
Main has gotten very out of date with our more recent branches. We want the stylistic functionality of main and the scaling and scrolling features, but also want newer features like add element and add stage buttons on our branches.
