Native Preserves #243

I get to a point in every game where there are some Indian villages that i do not want to culture bomb for mass schooling reasons. It would be cool to be able to integrate these villages into your empire - perhaps having unique buildings based on the existing native tree and giving access to some unique settlers.

Some options could include: Unique Indian professions perhaps needed for a third tier of production lines. (better rum, cigars, horses?) Native Soldiers Native Scout Native Medicine man - not as good as a doctor but better then a non professional colonist. Native missionaries - more effective at setting up missions on their base times villages? Native Statesmen - integrated natives really not cool with the idea of european taxes Native professionals for indigenous gathering professions that are slightly better then european equivalents. (eg hemp, food on bonus tiles, tobacco, sugar, indigo) - could be assigned through events like bishops and having an Indian preserve would unlock the event. Crafting line for 'Native Goods' that sell for good prices in europe. Integration brings a portion of town wealth that could have come from conquest?

As far as I can see the first native reserves were formed in the 1700s so this isn't that out of line.

Dawn of a New Era has a feature where you can give territory to other players. The main use of this is to turn over territory to natives; doing so results in a large reputation bonus with the nation you gave the territory back to.

The ideas for additional buildings, units, etc. should be in a separate issue.
