It would be nice if a parent folder displayed all the contents of its subfolders in addition to the contents of itself. For example, a folder named anthros might have subfolders digitigrade and plantigrade, and it would make sense for all those to be visible in the anthros folder.
If this behaviour is not desired, perhaps a toggle on the folder could be implemented. Another solution is making a third subfolder for content that should show nothing of the other subfolders.
