What is Refi? How web3 is most unexpected silver bullet to address climate change #188

Regenerative finance is a nascent ecosystem that has emerged in the last 6 months. What we are witnessing is a Cambrian explosion of Refi projects looking to solve this multi faceted problem.

The Refi ecosystem is currently working on -

  1. tokenizing carbon credits
  2. coordinating on activism
  3. MRV ( Measurement, Reporting and Verification) for climate projects
  4. Funding climate solutions
  5. Bridging real world assets
  6. Novel mechanisms to offset
  7. Derivatives on carbon and eco credits
  8. Creating a web3 native standard for approving credits
  9. Internalizing positive externalities
  10. Building the solarpunk future

This talk is meant to give a glimpse of what is possible in the Refi space beyond tokenizing carbon credits. How Web3 has the potential to address core tennets of climate crisis - coordination, cooperation and capital.
