It appears the most practical approach for supporting the HTTP(s) server requirements is to add an appropriate VPN library (client).

This will also require documentation about set-up steps / wizard / helper processes.

Another question, is whether its better to package 'solid' into the browser of whether to run it seperately (a bit like a VPN).
