Plugins can be provided as a name and as a category. In the future they may also be provided with a path. They also are provided via name and such, but a user cannot know how they actually work without prior experience.
Something should exist to provide all of this information.
It should clarify which plugins are in the "path", which categories exist, which plugin has which use case, and a rough outline of what the effect of those plugins are (at least whether they are passive or active, but maybe also about how chatty they are regarding user output etc).
