Get notified when data is updated #21

Given that the data on the website would get updated from time to time, it would be great if there was a medium (ideally subscribing to some sort of mailing list) to be aware when new data can be fetched. Having people using old data is unlikely desirable.

We have a community group with a mailing list... though admittedly, we haven't made any announcements about updates to the data there! We will start doing that.

Any ideas from folks here? Maybe we need a separate "Announce" list?

Some people would like to just be notified when the data is updated, but are not interested in our lovely discussions.

well they will have to follow something somewhere unless we contact people individually... its not exactly high traffic list

So, I think the easiest option is just to have a separate list. It seems like the least painful solution.
