The desktop (edge / personal computing) app framework needs to be containerised in some way to prevent public network access to the rest of the desktop/laptop filesystem, operating system, etc.
Whilst there's complex ways to do it, I'm not sure of what the most elegant way might be to do it well; taking into consideration various technical implications (IE; memory/CPU/ hardware resources management); and in turn also, the ability for someone (technical Lay people) to reliable be equipped to install and manage.
