Maybe it could be the favicon picked from "Project website", libravatar/gravatar, or uploaded from the image context tool.

This issue has been put aside. Currently, it is unclear whether it will ever be implemented as it seems to cover too narrow of a use case or doesn't seem to fit into Weblate. Please try to clarify the use case or consider proposing something more generic to make it useful to more users.

[ ] When searching for a new project to translate some people might try using "Browse all projects" /projects/, but currently you can only see project names there, which is usually not enough to understand what the project is about.
[ ] Maybe also add a way to list projects from self-hosted Weblate instances.

Maybe could also pull this info from the project's repos.

Describe the solution you'd like

Make it possible for project admins to add a short description of their project(s), and maybe add an icon.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Create a separate website for searching what to translate.

Would also benefit to people who have contributed to many projects and don't remember some of them. A quick description and logo would help in those cases as well.
