screenie

I put all the info into the script, username, password, and seed based on the example. It works properly when I use the normal method with the same info.

Sorry for very late response. Will be fixed soon.

The issue still exists, right? I have the same

Weilbyte commented 2 years ago

@philippthiele hi please try using the Rust rewrite from the 'next' branch here..

Tell me if this works better.

this issue is still present.

As a workaround, I created a non 2fa steam account and gave it permissions to upload builds. So I no longer need this.

jh0nny2k commented 1 year ago

you can do that? isn't there a way to remove the request for 2fa?

jh0nny2k commented 1 year ago

Can anyone build a new executable with the latest source code? i'll be damned if i know how

Weilbyte commented 1 year ago

I have no clue why steamcmd hangs on this, personally I have just resorted to generating a 2FA code only and then providing that to steamcmd.

jh0nny2k commented 1 year ago

same here. after login with your own exe i jumped on the normal steamcmd and it didn't require the 2fa anymore. now i have to figure out how to configure games in steamcmd

@ThomasMoonKang How did you manage that?

I just made a new steam account and gave it the necessary permissions in Steamworks.
