2 years ago Tabulator was the cause, specifically the resize areas on the column dividers. I suspect that Google is complaining about these being too close to the cell touch targets. We can work around this by turning off the resizable columns feature, which may not be much of a loss in this application. Closing this as an issue, but may want to revisit if we decide that resizable columns are desirable. I could change the behaviour between mobile and desktop...
Google still reports that "clickable items are too close together" but does not specify which. As a result, I am going to have to remove elements a group at a time to find out which is causing the report. I wonder whether the Tabulator may be a cause of problems...
