mctsts: I feel like this is always going to be used to redirect tk/tp/ti/tg to tm
mctsts: which makes tm roles worse to play
mctsts: so this role isn't necessarily bad, but it makes other roles worse if it's in game, which I don't think is good
mctsts: (especially when the roles it makes worse are already the weakest ("worst") roles to begin with)
nottinghamshire: tms are usually mayors or early d1 claims so wolves actually try to kill them first. it adds strategy to who wolves should kill in the night as well because otherwise the bandit has a huntsman worth check
nottinghamshire: now that i hear it its ability shouldnt learn who got attacked because imagine a ti got rng'd, it would basically creat a town trusted D1 ðŸ˜
nottinghamshire: ig it would be easy to fake claim tho 👀
nottinghamshire: and for balancing maybe a consequence for mipredicting
nottinghamshire: I have a different idea
nottinghamshire: how about the bandit can redirect the attack but only to itself. Then once dead, whoever the attack got redirected from, learns the attacker This has really interesting interactions e.g. with packless or wether figuring out a role is tk or wolf
nottinghamshire: the only redirecting role atm is assistant but its a cool feature
nottinghamshire: so should be in more roles
nottinghamshire: especially more powerul and relevant ones
nottinghamshire: after extensive extensive testing and research on miniwolves
nottinghamshire:
Every day the bandit can pick two town catagories e.g. 'tk' to 'tm', if the wolves attack a tk, the bandit will redirect the attack on a random tm. The bandit if sucessful will learn who got attacked originally. If the bandit is the only tp and says e.g. 'tk' to 'tp', the redirection will fail.
This is a role that makes the game virtually impossible for wolves since it guarentees a death on a non-important town EVEry phase which i realise is overpowered
nottinghamshire: so maybe instead of a town power
nottinghamshire: we can modify it into a wolf power
nottinghamshire:
BANDIT (wolf power)
BASICS
A non-lycan that isn't in wolfpack. Every day, the bandit can redirect a town action to a different player.
DETAILS
The bandit during the day picks a catagory and a player. The catagory can be any town role. The player can be any player. An example of an interaction would be 'tk, snivy', lets say originally a tk was attacking ts, the attack would redirect to myself. If there is a different tk who is targetting luffy both attacks would redirect to myself. Once a catagory has a sucessful redirection it cant be redirected again. The bandit will be told if the player chosen is a wolfpack. The bandit can chose a player as many times but not twice in a row. The bandit can redirect guardian powers but the catagory of the player who has guardian needs to be selected.
nottinghamshire: <@242983689921888256> improved
nottinghamshire: this would have interesting interactions with exorcist and hooker
nottinghamshire: lol redirection of wolf powers is so weak but redirection of town powers is significantally stronger
mctsts: As this role has failed to gather any attention I will be closing the thread
