e_thsn: I suggested on a version of cerberus that doesn't offer and instead takes the soul

We came to the conclusion that hell roles with offers/bargains are weak due to people being unwilling to sell their soul as it makes Hell more powerful

My suggestion is Since cerberus is a dog it can guard you at night and if you are attacked it takes your soul in exchange you survive the attack and the attacker is instead attacked by cerberus It also has a weak disguise and turns into demon is there are no hell roles left like the old version

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: Does cerb get to use that… every night?

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn:

Does cerb get to use that… every night?

yeah but if you know it's in game or suspect it's in game you can just not attack the most obvious target, also it comes with not being able to protect soulless players obviously

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: yeah honestly this is a much improved version of cerb

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: and sort of does the same thing

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: but like in a good way

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: this cerberus should just be a soul user honestly

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: and probably hell team shouldnt gain a soul from this

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn:

and probably hell team shouldnt gain a soul from this

just make them soulless?

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: actually that makes sense

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: you lose your soul and cerb uses it to attack your attacker

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: yeah something like that

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: and it keeps the power more balanced

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: Is this too powerful though? It's an improved version of cerberus, yes, but it's also cerberus but better, I don't see any downgrades from old cerberus and the buffs are incredibly powerful (attacking the attacker can be super powerful, and forcibly gaining a soul is also super powerful)

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: thats why I say it shouldnt be able to gain a soul

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: Oh

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: hm what if devil wants to wager them later and use their soul

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: or would the soulless making just be a negative side effect that needs to be taken

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts:

hm what if devil wants to wager them later and use their soul

cant - theyre soulless

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: yeah that's why I'm asking

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: the cerberus takes their soul and uses it to attack the attacker

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: oh

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: I see

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: yeah that makes sense

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

phantomtomic: it works better that way

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: still good for hell because its one more soulless player

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: but not like amazing

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: And hell win when everyone alive is soulless

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: so protection of someone is good

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: the advantage for hell is that 1 player will likely be dead (the attacker) same as if the attack had normally occured, but additionally another player is soulless

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: I can write a Description

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

captainluffy: but how could anyone kill anyone obvious while this is in play

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: that's the point <:gibagul:841358597983961128>

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

mctsts: and was the point of old cerberus

e_thsn: Cerberus | Solo Killing - Hell Team | Limited Basics Each night the Cerberus may guard a player, if attacked they will be protected in exchange for their soul, will be used to attack their attacker. The Cerberus wins with the devil. It joins a channel with the devil to communicate securely. The Cerberus can use the hell team's soul pool. Details Each night the Cerberus can select a player to guard, they may not select soulless players. If attacked the Cerberus will protect their target and in exchange take their soul, making them soulless, if the player has no soul they will no longer be protected. However, the soul does not add to hell's collective soul pool, and instead the Cerberus uses it to attack the player who attacked their target.

During the first phase, the Cerberus may choose a role as a weak disguise. This defaults to citizen.

At the start of the game, the Cerberus' soul is added to the hell team's soul pool. The Cerberus then becomes soulless. The Cerberus may use souls from the pool to protect or attack a player. If the Cerberus is attacked while a soul is in the pool, a soul will automatically be used to protect the Cerberus. See $info souls for a detailed explanation.

Members of the Hell team cannot betray the team in any way. Any attempts at conversion or recruitment of a member will fail in some manner.

Formalized Inherit: Souls Immediate Day: Weakly Disguise @Self as @Selection [Temporal: Day 0] {Forced: Citizen} Immediate Night: [Attribute: @Selection lacks Soulless] • Protect @Selection from Attacks through Active Defense (~Phase) • Target @Selection (~Phase) On @Target Visited [Attack, Attribute: @Target lacks Soulless]: • Apply Soulless to @Target (~Persistent) {Visitless} • Attack @Attacker • Remove Defense:Cerberus from @Target • Untarget

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: <@234474456624529410> does that formalization work?

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: actually how do I add a condition on if they're not soulless to On @Target Visited [Attack]:

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

captainluffy: i dont think it shuld have souls because it should be killable by roles that want to kill it

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn:

i dont think it shuld have souls because it should be killable by roles that want to kill it

Ts suggested it have soul pool access

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: otherwise we have the weird demon transformation

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

captainluffy: yeah but he probably didnt consider the consequences of the passive defence

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

captainluffy: on a role that gives other roles defence

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: I mean yeah but it also doesn't gather souls anymore

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

captainluffy: imo you can just copy firebug but switch the ignition for attack

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: hmmm

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: true but fiebug is different in that it does something if they're not attacked

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: which needs the warded attribute

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

captainluffy: well yes but thats a different section

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

e_thsn: oh

CrowdfordBot commented 10 months ago

captainluffy: so it makes someone some soulless without stealing a soul?
