e_thsn: also for wolvish players does this reveal the player's name
shapechange: yeah
shapechange: current phrasing suggests yes
shapechange: and i think this is fine
e_thsn:
I brought this up a while ago, but it got shut down as it was seen as unlikely this would acutally be used. The issue is somebody requesting to be added to all ccs of another player (or potentially requesting them to create any uncreated ccs they may have) to proof they do not have any "scum ccs"
or things like TC or Chef, who usually use a CC as part of their ability, can't confirm themselves by making the rest of their CCs public
venomousbirds: should i just add this to the Game-Specific section in <#841289716322009088>?
mctsts: yea, probably
venomousbirds: Edited this and some other rules
venomousbirds: <@458727748504911884> <@242983689921888256> <@544125116640919557>
mctsts: I feel like that rule is a bit too much?
mctsts: it seems to imply you shouldnt share ccs at all
venomousbirds: might need to rephrase
venomousbirds:
💬 Do not ask other players to show you their ccs. Conspiracy Channels are made to be private. Asking for someone to add another to all their created ccs to "confirm they're not lying" is against the concept of private ccs and can ruin the game for players. It's also a bad strategy in general, as some roles are forced to communicate with mechanically confirmed players through ccs. Adding someone to your own cc(s) at your own volition is allowed.
venomousbirds: it sounds a bit severe but idk how to rephrase it
venomousbirds: lmao? crossing a channel embeds it <:thonk:688530547857031236>
mctsts: "Asking for someone to reveal all of their ccs to proof "they do not have any ccs which might reveal they are lying" ..."
venomousbirds: hm i see
venomousbirds: maybe changing it from adding to "forcing someone to add"?
venomousbirds: so forcing someone to add people to all their ccs
mctsts: yea
venomousbirds: specifically all
mctsts: yea
venomousbirds: would the last part make sense?
venomousbirds: or would that just be
venomousbirds: town adds everyone to their ccs
venomousbirds: you dont willingly do that so youre scum
mctsts: I think having that sentence makes sense, but needs to be further extended
mctsts:
something like Adding someone to your own cc(s) at your own volition is allowed, however you still should not add somebody else to all of your ccs to proof you are not lying.
mctsts: Please update the rules when you can to contain this <@277156693765390337>
