e_thsn: my suggestion, make it only abilities that use investigate in formalization, after we fix it all
shapechange: i honestly wonder if rivals are useful roles
shapechange: why not just have them turn into psychopaths with each other on their lists
shapechange: makes them a lot less side-y
e_thsn: <@242983689921888256>
e_thsn: <@839150186613702749> <@687997084527493137> you were both rival
shapechange: how would you phrase that in a neat and comprehensible way without referring to formalisation, a concept the vast majority of players will likely never bother looking into (for good reason)
e_thsn: Investigation abilities
e_thsn: though I do think that might sound too broad
shapechange: i would unfortunately not call that comprehensible
shapechange: it is too broad
shapechange: and would require players to have a solid knowledge of ability type differentiation
shapechange: i wonder if we could just limit it to TIs
e_thsn: ;baroness roles
e_thsn: the only reason I'd want this is tanner and juror
shapechange: juror i could see being a good exception
shapechange: tanner i already dislike as an exception
e_thsn: yeah I guess tanner is already wolf so it's very unuseful
shapechange: this sentence contains no false information at all
e_thsn: Wait
shapechange: "tanner is already pack"
e_thsn: I was reading tanner baroness roles description as I was typing
e_thsn: what if we make baronessroles a GM information thing that lists how each investigative role gives info to baroness
e_thsn: then make it TI and WI
shapechange: nobody would ever use baroness bc that would suck for hosting
e_thsn:
nobody would ever use baroness bc that would suck for hosting
more of a thing you can check if not sure
mctsts:
what if we make baronessroles a GM information thing that lists how each investigative role gives info to baroness
No edge case lists
shapechange: i mean last game and this game hosts already repeatedly failed to check the role descriptions of roles they were using (which shouldn't be a thing, obviously, but it illustrates an important point)
shapechange: edge case lists are not good
e_thsn: True
phantomtomic:
why not just have them turn into psychopaths with each other on their lists
That sounds okay
e_thsn: oh jay while promoted can you remove dead host
e_thsn: yay ty
sawauh: hello hi sorry
sawauh: uhhh
sawauh: <:thinking:1125386874844893315>
sawauh: im not really sure
sawauh: i like the idea of baroness, and personally i just dont think detective is that great but outside of detective/baroness shenanigans i think its great
e_thsn: <@242983689921888256> how could we word it so town investigative and wolf investigative includes juror
mctsts: uh
mctsts:
why not just have them turn into psychopaths with each other on their lists
bc people dont wanna be psychopath
mctsts: but I think Rivals are strong enough without the additional power on their invest
mctsts: so I would suggest we remove that
shapechange: yes
captainluffy: Rivals are more townsided than pp I think
captainluffy: Like they might help wolves late game, but early game they're likely to go with town
captainluffy: And provide useful info
shapechange: yea
e_thsn: I don't think there's incentive for a rival to claim to wolves
e_thsn: Wolves can remove two invest roles by killing the claiming one
e_thsn: Too strong imo, the knowing it was disguised makes them basically know "this isn't their real role" and if it's a town role they know there's a high chance their target is evil
