mctsts: alternatively they just die again the next night!
shapechange: true
venomousbirds: good solution
venomousbirds: tho i also like the insta kill option ethan suggested
venomousbirds: that way, if anyone else realises someone should have died, they can purposefully target them to try and kill them
venomousbirds: or not, if they realise the player wasnt interesting
mctsts: But that adds more phrasing and complexity to the role
venomousbirds: should be one phrase added
venomousbirds: dont think its too much more complex, but it might be a very slight buff for plague
e_thsn: Bringing this back up
e_thsn: <@&1045732542399131769> 1️⃣ players who survive the plague will die each night therefore they will die the first night they're not protected from death
2️⃣ players who survive the plague are susceptible to dying end night if they're visited by someone who currently has the plague
abstain
neither keep it as is
mctsts: What
mctsts: That is so random
mctsts: How is everyone voting 2
shapechange: hey im voting both bc im fine with either
shapechange: i prefer 1 tho
e_thsn: 2️⃣ wins
e_thsn: <@242983689921888256> how should this be worded
e_thsn: I was thinking "Should the player still be alive afterwards, they remain contaminated, if they are visited by a contaminated player they will die at the end of the night."
mctsts: Sure
shapechange: as found in the last game and mentioned in the cleric discussion thread, a plauer who survives plague death becomes immune to dying from plague.
rn I believe this only really affects a) idiot b) demonised players who then turn undead. still, i think the idiot case is somewhat problematic: rn it's usually the centre of town organisation and a key role in many town strats when it features, and having it become immune to the plague can really fucking plague team over.
as ethan mentioned in the cleric thread, if we ever introduce a role which protects from death, this feature becomes wayyy more problematic. it's not great to have what could be a useful and strategic ability option be permanently restricted bc of this one shitty (and afaik largely needless) interaction.
ethan suggested there that a plague-survived player getting recontammed by any means could instantly kill them, which i think is an interesting option, but if people don't like that i don't see the problem in just having plague-survived players lose their contamination status.
