FA equivalent for TK #1373

alphaviki: My current proposed name is "Vigilante" (someone who takes justice into their own hands). Basically the tk equivalent to the fortune apprentice. I have the feeling town can suffer greatly if their tk role is killed (especially if it happens early). And I can imagine role lists are more difficult to balance around multiple tk roles (in case one dies). This role makes the game a little harder for wolves, but also adds another potential claimspace.

The new proposed role would be tm and would change their role to the most recently died tk role (once the tk player dies).

alphaviki: Also huntress could get a bid out of hand I realise. It sounds like a good idea with some tk roles but really not with others.

it needs a new name because this name is uniquely hated

Idk: Barber, Executioner, Huntress, Witch

Roles we dont want this to work for: Cult Leader, Mad Scientist, Amulet Crafter

e_thsn: Maybe we make the role become the first TK that dies that still has the ability to kill Then exclude role with an extra channel

Possible names would be formatted Apprentice or Apprentice

Possibly like Apprentice Assassin Killer Apprentice

Yeah like witch if they have a PoL or PoD left

Basically like how LA copies all data at the point of role changing,

shapechange: the problem with promotion roles is that they can easily end up punishing wolves for good plays and messing up the balance

shapechange: FA isn't a super frequently used role and can often end up copying a weaker TI and/or only promoting after town have got most of the information they need or are at a point where more information won't give them an advantage, so the impact isn't too disproportionate

shapechange: but i think a TKA would have a way greater effect, because kills for town only get more useful, rather than less (like info usually does)

shapechange: and considering we're really trying to protect from the very specific scenario of ass/priest dying to a random roll N1 - we already have a nice, neat solution that doesn't disrupt balance for those situations, and that's using amnesiacs
