huckhuck55: This is based off a ToS mechanic for a game variant of sorts.

Essentially, there is a town role that may work against town and takes on the alignment of scum but maintains their “town” role mechanics.

This would add the equivalent of a packless role to the game and would prolly be best with invest that checks alignments rather than roles.

This would maybe a fun varient type game as it makes town trust that much more dangerous to have. Consider this perhaps the alternative to the www but for town.

The specific role in which the traitor would be could be randomized? Or it could be made with the role list accounting for 1 less town, thus adding another town to the list.

All in all, the idea could be shot down due to how hard it would be for town to discover who it is, but I think as an offseason type game, could be fun.

huckhuck55: In fact. Might be a fun OS varient to have all town roles. Maybe some UA. But include town traitors.

Reason I think this could add something to the games is; Some people complain they don’t like how town trust just runs the game and people have to follow them blindly. (I personally don’t have a problem with this) But having town traitors would make it far less likely for town trust to be as dominant of a force.

Idk. Just brainstorming here. Could also flop massively due to the unknown nature of it all.

But yeah, redirected back to the fact that the role modifier would be a www counterpart.
