Unlimit Juror #1408

Open CrowdfordBot opened 3 weeks ago

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: been used a few times now. really needs to be at least a trio so better suited to larger games, but it's a nice balanced role and i see no reason to unlimit it

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

e_thsn: What if Juror counted as a TI for FA?

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

e_thsn: Then it would be a bit easier to use it as a two

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: i dont love the idea

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: creating exceptions to rules (such as the whole baroness debacle) is annoying and messy

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

e_thsn: I guess amne with Juror works for 2 but not if Juror dies right after amne role changes

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: i feel like the better option is just to be conscious that a 2p jury is a very weak jury

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

captainluffy:

creating exceptions to rules (such as the whole baroness debacle) is annoying and messy

agreed

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: like imo baroness is/was a very cool role but all the exceptions made me never want to use it

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

e_thsn: Right we were supposed to remove the special bits

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: it's very much a case where below a certain threshold of additional roles, there's so few that it feels like they should just be excluded from being baroness choices to simplify things, and then above the same threshold there's too many that it gets too complex and messy

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

captainluffy: to be fair juror makes sense to be an exception there

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

captainluffy: the others not as much

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: yeah juror makes sense

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: but if there's only one exception then there shouldn't be any exceptions

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

captainluffy: yeah i agree

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: i wonder if "group" might have merit as an additional qualifier (like transformation) rather than a category in itself

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: but then that gets weird tbh

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

mctsts:

but if there's only one exception then there shouldn't be any exceptions

I disagree

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: no you don't

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

mctsts: it makes more sense to have a singular exception than to have a list of exceptions

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

mctsts: thats the point of exceptions

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

captainluffy: that makes sense i guess

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

mctsts: it works like this except for A, B, C, D, E and F - its hardly still an exception if that makes up most of the role functionality

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

mctsts: it works like this except for A - an acual exception

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

captainluffy: ur right i should have used more critical thinking earlier

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

mctsts: with roles like old ice queen, look-alike, old reaper and baroness the main role functionality is basically "does something that you will find the answer to in a look up table"

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

mctsts: in this case the exception could simply be "The Baroness may also target the jury instead of a role." or something like this, nothing further required

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

e_thsn:

it makes more sense to have a singular exception than to have a list of exceptions

or if it's a list make it a general list like www being non wg roles

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: okay anyway thats not relevant

CrowdfordBot commented 3 weeks ago

shapechange: unlimit juror or die

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

e_thsn: <@&1045732542399131769> unlimit juror?

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

e_thsn: I just tested this why

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

shapechange: can i skip the necessity of a vote by threatening to kms if you guys dont pass it

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

venomousbirds:

can i skip the necessity of a vote by threatening to kms if you guys dont pass it

no, die /j

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

e_thsn: yay

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

e_thsn: all_yn not yn_all

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

shapechange: this is just like one direction fanfic

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

shapechange: all y/n

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

venomousbirds: y/n looks at the poll and confidently checks <:yes:590859662161739806>. Their big blue orbs look back at the paper. They've signed your adoption papers. They're now One Direction's property.

CrowdfordBot commented 2 days ago

mctsts: for me too. y/n is very execited as they open the github page, their blue orbs glancing at the web site. The poll results are in, and a majority has been reached!! The raven-haird role has been approved. y/n stoically clicks the "New pull request" button, though they may try to avoid this usually, today the time has come. With the hope to make an update to the repo as flawless as Harry's smile y/n begins their work and updates the file of the brown-eyed role. With one final breath, they submit, eyes scanning the screen as they whisper, while blushing, 'For you, my love. This one's for the directioners.'. Then, y/n released the breath they didn't know y/n was/were holding - the update was complete.
