I thought about it more and at this point I think it probably makes more sense to name new packless lycanless werewolves in the same way as Warlock and Tanner instead of starting a new naming convention. I think the original suggestions for that were Husk and Sorcerer
shapechange: finally i prevail. and yeah those were the two original suggestions, I'll try think of a couple more
I think Sorcerer is once again not very fitting for this role because it's fairly passive.
Ts: Do you want to develop this idea in time for the next version?
shapechange: i do
Ts: Post is about to close again
Ts: Requires a PR this week or will be postponed
Ts:
i do
to get it done in time for icons it needs to get a description/pr/vote soon
shapechange: cool
shapechange: i will do a name soon
shapechange: i think that's the last step apart from mechanic formalisation
Ts: right it doesnt have a name yet
shapechange: Shaman?
Ts: I think names like that don't really fit its passive power
shapechange: yeah that's fair
shapechange: it's a hard one to name
shapechange: Recluse?
Ts: I dont think that implies wolf team. Maybe Reclusive Wolf?
shapechange: no, because we're following the warlock/tanner convention, and those don't have wolfy appendations
Ts: it can just not follow that one and be a lycan
shapechange: also i think it probably needs a disguise selection to buff it a lil
shapechange: it not being a lycan was the entire point of the role
Ts: I thought that was the packless WM part
shapechange: yeah, i wanted it to be a non-lycan packless WM
shapechange: if it can't go stealth against invests there is very little point to the role
Ts: It's difficult to fittingly name a role without an active power in a way that implies that its evil
shapechange: tbf, Tanner doesn't really imply much evil
Ts: it doesn't
shapechange: i do think Recluse is decent the more i think about it.
Ts: actually it does work
Ts: because its just some person
Ts: that likes being alone so uh I guess it supports the wolves who eat people
Ts: easier to be reclusive when the wolves eat everyone
shapechange: yes
shapechange: and they're too stinky for the wolves to eat
Ts: ah yes and thats the explanation for detecting abilities used on them
Ts: they stink so much everyone that tries to get close to them almost pukes making a sound
shapechange: yes
shapechange: aight whos gonna write a desc for this
shapechange: and by "who" i mean you, ts
shapechange: i mean i can do it if you really don't wanna, i'm just super busy
Ts: i mean it is your suggestion
shapechange: unfortunately i am also really busy
Ts: Recluse | Werewolf Miscellaneous Basics The Recluse is immediately notified of all powers used on them. When a werewolf uses a power on them, they are given that werewolf's identity. Details The Recluse is told which role targeted them and what power was used on them, but not the identity of the player that used a power on them. An exception are members of the wolfpack/werewolf team - when they use a power on the Recluse, the Recluse is told the identity of that player as well. The Recluse is not a lycan and is not part of the wolfpack.
Simplified The Recluse and the wolfpack do not know each other. The Recluse is immediately notified of all powers used on them. When a werewolf uses a power on them, they are given that werewolf's identity.
Captain Luffy:
When a werewolf uses a power on them, they are given that werewolf's identity. it sounds like they know the players identity not the role
Ts: that's exactly what it is
shapechange: sounds great
shapechange: <@&584767449078169601> <@&590877989345165312>
if you agree that recluse is a great role and we should add it if you want me to shoot you
Ts: bad idea
Ts: oh its a different no
